I need to order some rust bullet paint but I don’t see a color, or a chart. I was under the impression that it is black. Is this correct?
Also torn between the automotive (spray version) or regular (brush).
Anyone use the spray?
If brushed on does it show brush strokes?

I think they only have the Black and silver. I have some comeing. Let us know how it works out.

I've used the brush on. It doesn't leave stroke marks. And it does only come in silver and black.

Good. I seen a picture that showed the silver, but I need black, so I’m ok.

The Rust Bullet paint the actual rust preventitive or eliminating paint comes only in silver metalic, can be brushed or sprayed. You can top it with any paint you want, within 24 hours of the last coat of the silver. I have a quart of the silver and also a quart of their Black Shell top coat. I will post pics. I am going to put the first coat of Silver tomorrow. Here is the link to what I'm painting:

This stuff does not go on very smooth with a brush. A foam brush lays it down a slight bit better but not real flat in my opinion. I talked with the RB rep yesterday and he said wait 24 hours and sand out any brush marks. He also said add 1 oz. of Zylene to the quart and it will flow much better. Not sure about spraying this stuff as thick as it is. I think I will add the oz. of Zylene and see what that brings in results.

Alex, did you get the automotive or original flavor? I just ordered the automotive & some black top coat last night. Supposedly the automotive type is thinner for spraying, but can also be brushed on also. I think I’ll try my spraying skills out in the engine bay.

AUTOMOTIVE, silver can....PM me your email, I will send you an email from a customer that painted his whole truck with this stuff, lots of pics. He says if you don't want to thin it you need to use a 2.0 tip. I spoke with a RB tech rep named Frank yesterday that said put an oz. or Zylene into a quart to make things better for spraying. I was able to sand out the brush strocks this morning and layed down a coat with a foam brush...pretty good results! The rep also told me if I want the black to stay glossy, it needs to be lightly scuffed and topped with a clear. Also told me Home Depot sells an Automotive clear in a spray bomb....I'm not so sure about spray bombing a Rustoleum Automotive clear from Home Depot???
