dana 60 12 x 2½" drums turn down dimension ?
anyone know what the max diameter of the drum surface on 67 dana 60 3/4 ton drums is ? anyone got a service or overhaul manual for 67-72 with this info ? i need ot find out asap

The max is usally on the inside "rim" of the drum. I not sure what year they started doing that.

I believe the ID can go out to 12.60" max. I just put new rear drums on my truck a couple of months ago, it's stamped on the inside edge, but I can't read it now becauce the backing plate obscures it. I'd have to check my notebook at home, but I'm pretty sure it's 12.60

Randy, according to my factory shop manual CD for 1970, it says that rims up to 14" can be machined .060". Hope this helps?

12.60 ? hmm or is it supposed ot be 12.060 ? hmmm i suppose min is 12.000" and max is 12.060 ? thanks, |

Whoops!! Pardon my decimal place. It is 12.060, as in sixty thousandths over. Nice catch.
