Hei and Tach

Just finished my instrument cluster and put in stock repro tach. Installed Hei distributor couple of years ago. I would like to know if I connect the 12v wire from the back of the tach to the power wire going to distributor?

Thanks,
Dave

Re: Hei and Tach

I thought there was a provision at the dist. to hook up the tach. I know that is where I hooked mine to.

Re: Hei and Tach

There is but there is also 12v wire to connect.I was wondering whether I could tie in to wire I've got connected from fuse box to 12v side of distributor from 12v side of tach. I hope this makes sense.

Re: Hei and Tach

hook it to any switched 12v source and you should be good to go.

Look at your fuse panel, and you may have an open terminal (for lack of a better term) you can use
