upgrading steering wheel what R U using?

I need to replace the stock steering wheel on my '71, it is getting pretty bad. I have PS so I am looking to go a bit smaller. Any suggestions, any pics?

Thanx

JJ

This is the same one I bought except mine has a black wheel..smaller than stock yet less obvious than those Grant type wheels.

Re: upgrading steering wheel what R U using?

I have one of those GM factory 4 spoke ones from the 89/91 Burbs, Jimmys and I believe GM used the same wheel on the early to mid 90's Burbs and trucks. IMO these are a great looking inexpensive wheel and I've seen quite a few on guys trucks on this board. You can probably get one at a wreckers for about 35/40.00 or maybe less. I'd post a pic of it for you on my truck but I'm at work ,so maybe one of the other guys will post a pic for you. If you decide that is what you'd like and can't find one locally PM me and I'll make deal with you on mine. My wife bought me a Le Carra wheel for Christamas and I will be installing it within the next month.

The seats are out of an 05 Chevy truck. The gas tank is under the bed. When I bought my carpet kit I ordered a piece to go on the cab back made just for the removed tank.

They're dirty but here are a couple pics for you, one is in my truck and the other in my Son's Nova.

Both are Grant wheels.

I think mines a Nardi.

I got it years ago off a later model "pimped" truck that I traded for and then sold.

Re: upgrading steering wheel what R U using?

I like the look of the 90's truck wheel. My new truck has a 10" ghetto dirt track wheel in it and I hate it. I like the wood wheels too, but I think a stock wheel works well and looks good.
