Tavenner13's "Project Huevos"
ive been meaning to start an "official" build thread to keep track of the progress of my '67 C10 so here goes. i like to be short and sweet so ill start from the beginning:
i found the truck back on the 14th of march. it was on ebay and i saw it wasnt too far away so i drove up to the little town it was located in and immediately fell in love with it. i bought the truck three days later after it didnt meet its reserve price and drove it 2 1/2 hours home. here's a few shots the PO used in the ebay auction: |

Re: Tavenner13's "Project Juevos"
the carb was junk and the starter laid over on me one night after work so i installed a demon 850, new high torque mini-starter, billet distributor, and high volume fuel pump.
i also installed an underdash gauge cluster and painted up the needles while the factory inst cluster was out... the wiring is a mess in there |

Re: Tavenner13's "Project Juevos"
my g/f surprised me with new reverse light lenses and some really cool bowtie-logo valve stem caps... what a woman!!!!
before after ive also painted the door panels black to compliment the black glove box door a bit... it really helps with the greasy fingerprints too lol (im always tinkering on this thing) ive considerably cleaned out the garage since the first few pics and now have some room to work! in this pic im transferring the lock rods from my donor doors into the ones on the truck now Last edited by tavenner13; 05-15-2007 at 01:19 AM. |

got the truck out on the road today and had a mini-burnout conest with matt (spray-bomb). mine was way darker but his was about 40 feet longer so i guess we'll call it a draw... we got them both on tape so we'll post a poll and yall can tell us who won ANYWAYS still looking to get the truck in the shop so i can have 3rd gear back lol
