Is a 1957 3/4 ton frame different than that of a 1/2 ton?
I'm wondering if my 1957 GMC 3/4 ton frame is the same size as a 1/2 ton frame. I'd like to use Mustang II suspension and conventional available parts. I may need a 1/2 ton frame if it is different. Any help or useful measurements would be appreciated! Thanks
Also, does anyone have a short bed 1/2 ton frame they want to part with?

if it is anything like my 59 (and it should be) the 3/4 ton frame is longer (about 2 feet) and the 3/4 frame is 1/4" thick; 1/2 tons are 1/8 thick. the mustang 2 kit should still work, i think the frames are similar dimensions, just the 3/4 ton frame is thicker.
