Suspension rebuild?
I'am in the process of rebuilding the front end on 85 GMC and dont know which coil springs to use? I don't want the truck to sit higher in the front I just don't want to reuse the 22 year old springs. Would the Belltech springs be a good choice since they are only one inch lower than stock(the current springs must have settled an inch)? The truck is not lowered. Rgds Rob

Re: Suspension rebuild?
Rob,
it's a given if you go with new stock springs it will raise it up in the front, since your leaf springs have settled also. About the only way to get it back to stock height is replace all springs, coil and leaf. If you don't want to go that route, I guess you could try some 1" drop coils. No guarantee this will be right either though I am afraid.

Re: Suspension rebuild?
Thanks for the input Swervin, the reason I want to change the springs is the truck seems to be slightly lower on the left front corner(for a 50,000 original mile truck.

Re: Suspension rebuild?
I would go with Swerves advice and just replace the coils and the leafs, if your rebuilding the front might as well do the back as they are just as worn as the front
