Factory Crossmember vs. Aftermarket on 2wd
I am starting a frame off resto of 70 2wd and considering a "dropmember" from porterbuilt. I am only looking to drop it to a nice stance and wondering if the extra expence is worth it if I purchase the dropmember?? I would love some input on this. What are some other benefits of having this type crossmember??

Corvette Type Suspension and Up to date parts compatability, How low
are you wanting to go? I'm not nearly as low as some but mines with all factory stuff and just bags. Just depends on how much fabing you want.

There are 2 Dropmembers...one uses factory chevy truck A arms or aftermarket chevy stuff the other uses Corvette C4 A arms. Both use a rack and pinion and allow either coilovers or Shockwaves. Either would be a cool choice for a build and allow you to go Very low if you wanted to.

If you're just looking for a moderate drop, you probably don't need to go to the expense, just get some drop spindles. Most of the 2wds on the board are just running the factory crossmember, some with bags. It really just depends on your wants and budget.
