Tire size?
Hey all. New to the boards. Ive got a 69 C10 LWB. Right now Im running 31x10.5x15's on the back and P21565r15s on the fronts. Stock stance, 6 lug wheels. Just wondering what size everybody else is running? Dont know if I shoud put the bigger size on the fronts, or smaller size on the rears?
thanks for the opinions. Don in Buffalo NY |

Re: Tire size?
I can't seem to find a deal on any tires, mine are staggered sizes, way too staggered.

Re: Tire size?
Has any one found any good "C" rated tires in a 15" rim that are about 27" front and 29" rear? I can only find A/T in these sizes and I want a good street tire that has a decent tow rating to it as well. I may have to go up to a 17 to make this happen but would rather keep the 15's

Re: Tire size?
I will be running 29x18.5x15's in the rear and 26x7.5x15's up front.. will let you know if it actually fits soon enough! (you may hear me swearing from here)
I liked the shorter 29" tire better, seemed to have less bulging then those larger ones..

Re: Tire size?
bigger is always better, well my opinion, go with the bigger ones on front and match up the rear, oh wait a minute, is this a four wheel drive? if not , I dont think that size will clear fenders if not. that may be why they arent 31".

Re: Tire size?
235/75r15 is the closet to a stock tire size

Re: Tire size?
325/40-15 ons the rears, 265/60-15
But, plans call for 29x18s in the rear, and 28x7s up front....mounted on Weld Rodlites.

Re: Tire size?
On the C20 I have 235/85/16's(about 32" tall) up front and 33x12.50x16.5's out back, all on stock steel rims. It's a work truck(and we do that here in the South) so I wanted big mud tires out back for hauling and pulling off-road.

Re: Tire size?
I've got 255 60 R15 on back. That with my 4.56 rear end makes for no chance of decent highway travels.... unless you like trying to keep it under 60mph in a 70mph zone.
