Around here, you couldn,t touch that truck for $2600. Looks like a good deal to me.

Re: 69 original lwb for $2600
Down here we call it a cattle guard. I need to find out if it was a dealer option. I already took off the tool box and headache rack, but left the gun rack. It was last inspected in 1991 and has been in storage since. I got it to run on the old gas today. I need to drain the tank(s) and put fresh plugs and see what happens. It also needs brakes but I drove or crawled around the block in it once. I haven't driven my 72 in years so althought it barley ran it felt great.

Re: 69 original lwb for $2600
Id say a great buy! I paid $2500.00 for the green and white. And its interior was a mess, the a/c wasnt hooked up, and so on and so forth so that is one heck of a deal. Pat yourself on the back and enjoy your new toy.

Re: 69 original lwb for $2600
No cancer probs. I took those pics of cab corners and fenders to show how little rust there is, also only a tiny bit of surface rust on floor pans prob from condensation. It is great to have one that atleast runs my 72 has a lot of money in it but I just now am getting back at it after a five year break for kids.

Re: 69 original lwb for $2600
Looks like original ones to me. I paid $125.00 for a very very nice set of GMC Sport wheel covers like those. Looks like a good deal to me.

Sure looks nice from where I sit! I'd say you got a good deal. Little rust is worth bigger $$$

Re: 69 original lwb for $2600
I agree with everyone else, I think you did just fine. BTW, I just bought five of those hubcaps at a swap meet the other week for $30 in good drivers condition if that helps at all. I have seen them go for a lot more also.

Re: 69 original lwb for $2600
I would have easily paid $4000 for it.

Re: 69 original lwb for $2600
Thanks for all the kind words. I have to change the gas tank the gas smells like turpentine(last registered 91), but belive it or not it will start. I decided
tonight I am going to make it my daily driver and get rid of 06 2wd crew in case anyone is interested. I am too new to know if that will get me in trouble. That will free up $300 a month for 72 project. What do you think?
