Finally bought a Blazer - 1969 K5 coming my way.

Well after some searching I happened to find one in my price range and with minimal rust...

It is paid for and it will be in shipping until June 7th/8th - so I have limited pix at this time.

It has a few issues (don't they all), but I have been told that it was a good deal for what I got...

Here are the specs-

1969 Chevy K5 Blazer
350/350/NP203 (with part-time conversion)
Recently Rebuilt Trans
Single Wall Hard Top
Kayline Soft Top
6" Rancho Lift
35" Tires
Van Tilt Wheel
Front Disc Brakes (71-72)
Decent Quality front utility buckets
Great Quality rear seat

And here are the pix:

I will definitely have questions once I get it...so stay tuned.

This truck may look familiar to some of you

Thanks to everybody who helped me through this process and with all of my questions along the way.

A big thanks to 'BouncyTruck' since I think I sent about 100 PMs asking all sorts of questions about this and that before I decided what to do.

Congrats. I think you're gonna have fun with it. I know I enjoyed it when I had it and I think Obsesive23 did too.

Tom, I am really glad to see that you finally got one. I know you were looking for a long time. It is a nice plus that you have someone that knew a little history to boot. Enjoy that thing !!!
Almost forgot, Great looking rig !!!

Re: Finally bought a Blazer - 1969 K5 coming my way.

Thanks everybody!

I think the selling point was knowing the history of the truck - or at least knowing it was taken care of during the time it was owned.

I just hope the thing gets here safely - it has to go 2400 miles in the next week.

By then it will need a good wash/wax and interior cleaning (I can be a bit meticulous at times when it comes to cleaning up the cars and keeping them that way).

Some call me crazy - but I find it relaxing to clean (the house, the cars, the yard, etc.).

Wish me luck in my endeavors - the search was a bit troublesome at times, but it looks like it finally worked out in the end.

Thumbs up yup - 203 t-case

Yes - it is BouncyTruck's old Blazer - that got into the hands of Obsessive23 and now on to me.

Yes - a 203 transfer case with a part-time unit installed. If it breaks - I will check into a 205 unit (with an adapter plate for the 350) - that is, of course, pending finances at the time...

Yeah - this truck is now on it's 3rd board member - (I can track the mechanical history (within reason) back the past 5 years almost).

I can't wait to get this thing and start enjoying it.
