Brothers Truck Parts "Factory Fit" stereos
anybody have any experience with these Factory Fit line of stereos from Brothers Truck Parts? What about their 10-disc changers?
They're on sale through tomorrow, and I'm considering the setup, since they're so deeply discounted, but don't wanna buy something that's gonna give me problems. Their website doesn't give much detail and/or photos, and there's NO info about the CD changer. The last two times I went there (approx. 75 miles east of me), the radios were out of stock. Hope someone can chime in on these... the sale ends tomorrow. Thanks! |

They`re probly just Custom Autosound, but would be interested if they offer something different.I`m not impressed with the quality of Custom Autosound.I need more from a stereo than just,"it fits."

Re: Brothers Truck Parts "Factory Fit" stereos
Sometimes I'm actually kind of glad the knucklehead P.O. of my truck cut the dash.
I wouldn't have the heart to do it, and I have no stereo problems.

Re: Brothers Truck Parts "Factory Fit" stereos
I just put a Custom Autosound unit in my truck this weekend. It sounds okay I guess- and can out-play the engine, but dang is it cheaply-made.
After getting the thing installed- which really wasn't a big deal I found out that the some of the LED's didn't work on the display. Also- for the life of me I can't figure out how to set the clock in anything other than 24 hour time.. not that it really matters- as most time looks like this: 8_|1-am. It also came with an inoperable button and the wrong factory manual. I was going to send it back- but I decided to let it alone. It fits like a glove, looks alot better than the junky aftermarket radio it replaced, and I can hook my Ipod to it. I don;t see many alternatives without hacking my dash... I just don;t listen to enough music to warrant anything different. Maybe I just got a bad apple... I bought it new from an E-Bay store. |

Re: Brothers Truck Parts "Factory Fit" stereos
LOL! I guess I'll never get to have a CD player in one of these because of all the trucks I have, not a single one has a cut dash.

Re: Brothers Truck Parts "Factory Fit" stereos
Brothers NEVER has anything in stock. All they are is a middle man that calls a vendor to ship when you order something. I live 5 mins from them and am almost always disappointed. The car and truck shop in Orange is WAY WAY better than Brothers. The stereo they sell at Brothers is Custom Autosound. A lot of people on here ***** about the quality of that stereo, but I have one and it works GREAT. Remember, it is the speakers that give you the sound quality, NOT the stereo itself. If you use $20 speakers with any stereo, then expect it to sound like crap.
