Question Right price?

Hi from Sweden!

What´s the right price in USA for a 1975 GMC Pickup with a 1991 454SS engine? All in good, used condition. Mechanically good but bad finnish on paint, interior etc.

Does 20-25 K$ sound about right?

got any pictures?

I'm not an appraiser, but, in my opinion, I would say between
3-8k$.
Vague number right? Is it a 4x4, 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton? How much work is there?
75 GMC's are not all that easy to find here in Oregon, so I could only imagine finding one in Sweden.

I am selling a 74 GMC 4x4 for 2200$

I don't know how much this will help. Maybe some senior members will give you their opinion.

Thx for the awnser. It feels like 2500$ is a good price.

First I thought about buying a GMC in the US and ship it home to Sweden, but with all the costs for customs and shipping maybe not. Swedish authoritys put 25% toll on the price

The car that I´ve looked on here is a 3/4 ton. Very good mechannically, but really ugly. Needs paint, new interior and some cool wheels.

New, american cars are much cheaper in the US than in Europe. For example a car that costs about 20´000$ in the US costs about 50´000$ in Sweden. But apparently the difference in older cars aren´t that big.

Smile Ooops!

Seems like I misscalculated between Swedish and US money. 2000-2500 $ it should be. Sorry

No pics either I´m afraid...

20-25K is off by a factor of 10. Do you mean $2000 to 2500? If that is the case, then I think you are in the right range.

Hello bumpy_jonas where are you from in Sweden?
I had the oportunity to visit a few months ago, it is beautiful. I stayed in ekoping. But visited upsalla, and stockholm. What a beautiful country you have. I really enjoyed Stockholm, and the VASA WOW.. You should send some pics of that to the board. I think some of the guys here would like to see it.

You have to calculate what the total price of your project will cost...You might buy the truck for $2500 but how much will you spend to get it right????. Last year I bought a 78 silverado for $17,500 from a guy who invested $36,000.00 to make it perfect. He replaced every part except the frame. What I got was a perfect 25 year old truck. The body panels and all the other parts were bought over the counter at his local chevy dealer. He was not happy with anything less than perfection. You should try to find a truck that someone else has restored like this one....that way their loss is your gain.
I am in the process of looking for a sports car and have decided to sell this truck. It now has 8000 miles on it and as far as I know it still hasn't seen a drop of rain. It is still nearly perfect, and I am asking only $16,500.....Quite a deal as opposed to spending $36,000 to restore another truck again. Good luck with your decision....just remember to look at the big picture. If I can Help E-mail me at timelliecaroline@comcast.net
