NEW Blazer for me

I have a 71 that I'm restoring but in the meantime I found this one for a price that can't be beat. $100 that's right a $100 bucks. needs a few things like a rear driveline but all in all descent work truck.

Dang man, nice price! Sounds like someone just wanted it gone! What year is it? Any big plans for it?

It is a 1978 with a 350 4 bolt main, 4spd, 4" Rancho lift and descent tires. I'm picking up the driveline yoke and u-joints today and will go pick it up this weekend. The only real body issue is the driver front fender is rusted through so I'll replace that, everything else body wise is in great shape hardly even any dings so I'll sand it down and give it a home paint job and it'll be my hauling/work truck. I can teach my son how to drive a stick with it too and he may end up with it for his first car in another year or two he's 15 now. Oh yeah and yes her husband split on her and they had it for sale for $1500 but he left her last Friday so she wanted it gone. I told her with a broken driveline it isn't going anywhere without being towed. She said well if thats the case she'd call to have someone tow it to the wrecking yard, so I was like well if you're gonna do that I'll give you a $100 and take it she said DEAL!

Re: NEW Blazer for me

The price was right thats for sure! It seems to be one extreme or another with prices lately. I stopped and inquired about an '85 Jimmy last week that was in not so good shape and NO rear driveshaft and the guy was asking $2500 when I was thinking $700.

Keep us up to date with that budget beast!

Is it factory? or just something you like. Let me get the thing home and cleaned up and I'll know better where I'm at with it. I actually kinda like it, I really like the smittybuilt nerf bars on it I'd say those are worth at least a $100 by themselves. Plus when I get it home I'll take some better pics and post them this one was sent to me by PO.

Re: NEW Blazer for me

There was a factory roof-rack and I think that is one. Similar to the Burb racks but obviuosly smaller.
The closest I've come to getting one was on a rolled K5 I bought. Unfortuneatly it rolled right over the rack???
