I learned from my camaro's that the carpet's are very different , trim part's make's good carpet and also a company called PUI interior's makes good quality carpet , I have had some fly by night carpet's and they fade as you are putting them in (LOL) I got my carpet in for my 67 c10 project last week and it's trim part's , nice looking full floor coverage too !!

Re: LMC carpet ???

I bought loop style from GMCPauls and cut pile from Athey's truck parts and both were fine!. These guys are board vendors so you can be assured of what you are getting!

Re: LMC carpet ???

I have the LMC carpet in mine. It is OK. Not perfect, but OK. It is a driver, not a show truck, so it does fine for me.

Re: LMC carpet ???

i just finished putting mine in tuesday , trimparts carpet bought from atheys nice carpet. one hint is to take it out the box and lay it in the sun or like i did just lay it in the floor of the truck a couple days and let the heat relax the carpet things will go alot better, only comlaint i have is i wish the padding went all the way back to the tank, ohh and ill try and post a pick of my homemade kick panel and lower door carpet, all i did was take a piece of flexabile cardboard and cut a pattern out for each kick panel and lower door, i bought a small roll of universal auto carpet at wal mart, its not loop piled but more of a plush smooth carpet and used the spray adhesive and i belive it looked pretty good , thats my poor mans way,, carpet at wally world was 8 bucks and around 3 dollars for the glue and your done, ill get some pics,

Re: LMC carpet ???

I'm glad you had good luck with ACC carpet, i've used it in two different truck and both times it lasted about 6 months and was faded worse then the 30 year old stuff I threw away. I'll use house carpet before I use ACC again. I'm really glad they aren't the only company to get get carpet from. I've heard good things about trim parts but haven't looked into anyone in awhile seeing as i'm a year from needing any.

Re: LMC carpet ???

I used a place called Ohio Valley a couple years ago and it faded REAL bad in a year- was bright turqouise turned to drab blue. I heard real good carpet like the factory was very expensive , someone on the 60-66 board was trying to get a group purchase going last year don't know how he made out though

Re: LMC carpet ???

LMC's is ACC carpet. I put it in my '88 a few months ago. Mine had WAY plenty extra all the way around to trim how you want it. OK so far. The wrinkles have came out of it pretty good. Sorry for the lousy pics.

This is LMC carpet. I was very happy with the quality. Better than other carpet kits I have bought in the past.

Re: LMC carpet ???

Oh man, I love that blue carpet! Very clean looking! I used to have a 74 Monte Carlo the same colors, and I loved the way that color carpet brightened up the interior.

I think alot of companies use AAC as their drop ship vendor for carpet. I've used them twice with the loop style and had good luck each time luckily. LMC seemed to have higher prices for everything when I compared my list of about 10 things I wanted, but I did not compare carpet. http://www.classicparts.com seemed to have better prices than anyone else generally speaking.

Re: LMC carpet ???

I have LMC's and mine faded, though not a show truck not a biggy. As I am in the process of another rebuild on my truck I plan to get some dye and try to get it back to it's original color. Black shouldn't be that hard. I was pleased with the fitment as well.

Re: LMC carpet ???

Dodge Ram seats, 99-04. The fit was awesome. Center console is a little tight to the gas tank when it's folded up, but that depends on how close you mount it to the rear. Belts are built into them, so that problem is fixed too. They fit much tighter to the doors. No more 6" gap between the edge of the seat and the door.

I have the LMC carpet kit and headliner in my CST...both fit nice and look good. LMC gets a lot of bad press here but I've had good luck with them. As with anything, you have to shop around. I did buy armrests from LMC and they were junk sent them back... no problems...full refund. I bought the armrests from Brothers...much nicer quality than the LMC stuff. As I said, shop around...sometimes LMC has good stuff...sometimes not. I've always had good luck with the board vendors too.
