Update for you guys...
Well I thought for sure I had blown the motor in my old truck about five weeks ago. But after going down to the friends where it was parked and charging the battery..IT STARTED. And ran good till it got hot again on the way home. Finally made it home and started tearing into it and found a stuck thermostat and a bad radiator. So those have been pulled out. Now all i need is replacements. Can someone piont me in the right direction for a good but not expensive replacement radiator.? Oh and while I have your attention how much work is it to change my grill from a 71 to a 68?
Thanks again for any help hopefully I will get her back on the road well enough in advance to join you all at the meet.---Aaron

Re: Update for you guys...
if you want the 68 grill you have to change the whole front of the truck and get 68 fenders, hood, rad support and the grill
glad to hear it was only the t-stat and the rad instead of the engine itself, you can try the parts board and see if theres a radiator there or go to some junkyards and see if you can get one there

Re: Update for you guys...
I got mine at oreillys in 2003. Ran about 200 bucks then and is pretty good quality. Have had no issues with it. Plus it was for the 4 row desert cooler to.. I second steven on the complete front end replacement to get a 67-68 grill.

Re: Update for you guys...
If you're just trying to get it going, take it to a radiator shop and get it flushed and maybe cored. It used to be pretty inexpensive and they'll pressure test it.
