Having some grounding problems...What is the black wire for coming from new cable?
New positive cable with extra black 12ga. wire. Should that be going to the bodyside where the smallish red wire connects or is it just an auxillary 12v. line for whatever you want?

do you have a pic? I would hate to give you wrong information and have things make a nice pop/crack noise..
where is the small black wire, and is it on the battery clamp? is it a stand alone wire on its own? is it further down in the engine comparment? will help if I can.. just need more info

NO!!!!!!!
He said it was the POSITIVE cable. This is supposed to go to the pass fender junction box... but it is more than just as descroved above, this (if wired properly) would provide power to the entire vehicle, and nothing would work without it. |

Your fusible link hooks up to that wire, then it terminates on the junction block on the pass. fender. A 10 ga. red wire also hooks up there and runs to the alternator and fuse block.

seems like most new battery cables come with that extra wire hanging off them. You can run your distro block on the fender with it or a big stereo amp etc...
