Smooth bed strips
What is the general consensus on smooth bed strips? Love 'em, hate 'em? Too expensive?
I've developed a low cost smooth bed strip system using unpunched steel bed strips and I may try to market it but would like some feed back on the smooth bed strip concept as a whole. Doug

Re: Smooth bed strips
I bought some from Mar-k and they are the brushed aluminum. They were a little expensive but they have nice mounting system that allows the stainless hardware and special bolts to slide forward and back to mount as you wish. Since I am not using the stock frame and my bed is somewhat custom, it was almost a must.
My only regret is that I got the brushed finish and they now offer a polished finish. My 2 cents. Marc |

Re: Smooth bed strips
if you make them in ss with hidden bolts that would be nice, only ones i know of with hidden bolts are aluminum. stainless would be more durable i think
expensive? yes. too much? well i was going to buy them anyway until i got a better idea

Re: Smooth bed strips
I have the WOW SS strips installed in my 55 and they finish out the bed and are real EASY to clean. You only notice the price when you are writting the check, after they are installed it heals!!!!
I am building a 53 chevy and I would be interested in looking at your product. How much would they be if they were chromed instead of painted, or is the price now up there where the pro's price is?
