I had to

Well, I had to sell my truck. I am buying a house and the mortgage company told me I needed $1500.00 more in the bank before they would approve me. Luckily I found a guy to buy it right away. The good part is that he told me when I get in my house and back on my feet and want the truck back just let him know. He is pro-streeting a 69 now and really doesn't need another truck but he bought it to help me out. Yeah, he's a pretty good guy. I met him through a friend of a friend. Anyway, here's a picture of the house. It's well worth losing my truck over since I've only had the truck a short time and didn't put much into it. Plus who knows, I might even get it back. Forgot to mention, it has over 2 acres of land.

Re: I had to

Nice house would have done the same, hard to sleep in a truck. Least now you have a garage to work on it if u get it back

Re: I had to

looks like a nice place to call home. I'm glad to see you believe in priorities.
Invite your friend to a cookout, sounds like a heck of a guy.

I did the same back in 88. New wife, baby on the way it was an easy choice. BTW, it was my 66 nassau blue, big block, 4 spd., a/c, side exhaust Corvette coupe and it went for a whopping 7k. big

Re: I had to

I did the same thing back in '82. Sold '68 CHARGER R/T with 54K miles, 440 magnum, factory 4 speed, Dana 60, B5 blue with a snow white interior. Man, that was one beautiful car!! Sold it for $1800.00 with intentions of buying it back. Didn't happen and it is sitting in a garage in southwest VA. rotting away. Anyway, because of that car I was able to buy our first house. I would do it again, but I would certainly buy it back if I had another chance. Roll on, you did the right thing!

Re: I had to

Thanks for all the kind words. My significant other (female) thinks I did the right thing also. I told her when I do get another truck, and I will, it will be one that needs little to no work. I don't want a show truck, but at least one that is well optioned and with paint instead of primer. So, it might be a while but I still plan to hang out here and learn and see all your awesome trucks.

Re: I had to

In the late 80s my brother bought my truck from a guy that needed the money to buy house. My brother paid $3500 for the truck.
I would like say what other have already said, that you did the right decision. I don't know if would do it.

Re: I had to

Family first! You can easily replace a truck but not a family. Nice house!
