4/6 drop not enough, I think I need bags
I installed an ECE 4/6 drop on my 68 SWB and I need to come down some more. I'm thinking about bags and a bolt on C-notch. I'm concerned about the rear diff hitting the wood floor as I want to keep it as it is.
Please give me some input, I feel like I'm banging my head on a wall thinking about this as much as I am. |

Re: 4/6 drop not enough, I think I need bags
Time to get out the creeper and tape.Check to see how much space between your diff and the bottom of the floor. You are going to need at least 2-3 in of clearance for suspension movement and that's probably the absolute minimum. If you can only go an inch or two lower and have some space then bagging it may mean redoing the floor. If you're only getting an inch or so and insist on keeping the floor as is,I would say bagging it isn't worth it.You are probably going to have to decide which is more important, lower or bed wood.

At about 8" of drop, you'll be knockin' on that wood floor when the suspension compresses. 7" would give you some amount of cushion or go 8" & get some really good bumpstops.
