NHRA have any rules on mounting fuel cells in the bed ?? Should I mount right behind the cab or back at the tailgate ??? Do I mount in bed , below bed or half and half ??? Whats the best for traction ??

I don't think NHRA has a truck specific fuel cell rule... As long as it's a approved cell, you'd be OK to mount anywhere...
I would think rear ofaxle would be best for weight transfer, but,... I'm no expert. Maybe someone more knowledgeable will jump in...

Place it as far back as you can for best traction. Here is a list of basic NHRA rules.

Re: Drag Race guys ... fuel cell questions

Good to see this thread!!! I'm picking up my 68 short and wide DRAG project on the 7th, and will definitely need your help. I was told on ColoradoDragRacing.com to get all the weight to the rear....

Yes you will need a disconnect switch at the rear for a relocated battery, mine is in the outside bolt hole on my sport bumper, battery at the back also.
