High back bucket seats

I was at the junkyard yesterday and i was looking for parts for another vehicle that I wrecked , and I walked by a 78 ish gmc with high back bucket seats and center console and the truck has been there a while with the windows down. so the foam and seat covers are shot. Does any one make replacements for them or not does any one know? Cuz I dont have a truck yet but im planning on getting one soon and I would end up getting a plane jane I'm sure so I'd really like to get those seats plus the console. I would like to get new foam for them and get them reupholstered by the way they are pink and the truck is brown. I no wtf

Re: High back bucket seats

Classic Industries sells covers. I've bought a set, but I haven't installed or had them installed yet.

I don't think anyone sells foam sets for the high backs. They advertise foams for 72 low backs, the bottoms might be adaptable. I think the whole set would work for lowbacks.

No matter what, if that's a pickup, go get those seats. The seat tracks are coveted and worth around $200 without the seats.

Re: High back bucket seats

Ya its a regular cab truck and yes I'm gonna get them and no I wont sell them once i do but first I have to fix what I wrecked unless I can find some body to go down there with me with a truck. I'll probably call one of my buddy's tommorow and see if he wants to go Monday. and I'll get my parts and for the van and the seats Monday.

Re: High back bucket seats

not seeing the pics of the seats i dont know what kind of buckets they are but I am assuming that the seats themselves are the same as the seats sold in blazers you should be able to get new used foams outta hi back buckets out of a blazer also alot of the ambulance package trucks had the buckets in them

Re: High back bucket seats

Cool I might just go get those tomorrow or should I just cut out the whole floor pan? So I have an exact template?

Re: High back bucket seats

No, you just need the tabs. When you re-install the buckets, bolt them in, and do the tabs last...let them fall where they want to be.

Re: High back bucket seats

Can I buy the seats out of a 90 suburban, and bolt them up to my 78 gmc brackets?
