Hi, All...
I have a '68 GMC pickup (C2500) that I've been driving (almost daily) and maintaining for twenty-some years. For a long time I could count on going down to one of the many auto parts stores around here, letting them look up whatever I needed, and having them order it for me. In the last few years, though, almost all the good independent stores have disappeared leaving hardly anything but the big chains. The parts themselves are getting harder to find or (in some cases) to identify. I'm going to mosey on over to the '67 - '72 Chevrolet & GMC Pickups board and post all the parts questions that I've had to deal with recently. Perhaps someone out there will happen to know a few of the answers. Thanks in advance! I've also been keeping detailed notes on everything I've done to that truck recently, and I'd be happy to share whatever I've learned. ---------------------------- '68 GMC C2500 with 351 V6, Turbo Hydramatic 400A. My other car is an '80 Honda Civic. |

Thanks, folks! In reply to SacramentoJoe's question: the East Bay. I was using "northern" to mean "nowhere near L.A." |
