Picture Needed of a 61 SWB Stepside

I'm collecting pictures similar to old vehicles I used to own. Tripping down memory lane I guess.

I just found a bronze 61 Buick Invicta. Now I'm looking for a 61 Apache, 6-cyl or 283 V8, short wheelbase, 2WD stepside. Anyone got one they'd be willing to share a picture of? Ideally, I'd like it to be:

Coppertone in color (if not, then any color and maybe I can get one of the photoshop guys to paint it for me.)

6" Channel Iron front bumper

4" round pipe back bumper

CB whip antenna mounted on the roof

32" mud tires in the rear and similarly hefty ones in the front.

I know it's a long shot but just thought I'd try to get a picture of something close.

Thanks.
Mike

Re: Picture Needed of a 61 SWB Stepside

i regret selling all my old trucks. even the ones that dident run. the first one i ever had was an old 69 C10 tow truck with a AMC pacer engine in it. i was 14 and dident know much so i never even heard it run. it was given to me so i gave it away for a 24 pack of budweiser, lol(and dident even get to drink it, i left it at a friends house and he drank all 24 and came to school 3 days in a row with one hell of a buzz!! lol). little did i know that it was a really nice mint truck, no title though. it was painted camo but it had practically no rust and a factory tach. god i wish i would have kept it. hell i even wish i would have kept my 2nd truck, even know it was a ford . needed a tranny but ran good. sold it for $500. anyways enough about all that.

Thanks hewlett. I agree completely.

Your avatar pic is about the color of my 61. Mind sharing a larger picture with us?

I PM'd factorystock. Thx for the tip.

Can anyone else help with pics even if they're not real close to my "ideal"?

Thx

Re: Picture Needed of a 61 SWB Stepside

As I recall, my 61 was about the same color. Thanks John for sharing your 66's profile.

Anyone got a decent pic of a 61 SWB Fleet? [CORRECTION, I MEANT STEPSIDE]

Maybe I can get the photoshop guys to morph John's 66's color with a 61 truck.

Thx.

Here's a similarish '60 provided by Google.

It'll be pretty hard to find exactly what you're looking for.

Ratrod60, that black one's my truck! All it needs is a bad coppertone paintjob, some 11" wide mud tires, a CB Whip antenna on the roof, a small back window, a few more dents and a black/rusty front bumper made of 6" channel iron.

Neat. Takes me back 35 years and feels like "home". Thanks.
