Columbus, Ohio Good-Guys Nats PICTURES!!!

I'm heading out for the 10th Annual Good-Guys Nationals in Columbus, Ohio on this Thursday, July 12th.

This is an absolutely awesome show. Hot Rods of all types up to '72.

Anybody else heading that way and want to travel together? I'm at the eastern end of PA and will probably be heading out via the PA Turnpike. Let me know.

Re: Columbus, Ohio Good-Guys Nats

Ditto for me - I trying to get the truck ready to take to the goodguys.
Had to tear off the oil pan and replace it and the rear main seal - again. This time I bought a good oil pan. After that we still need to finish the rear brakes, I think the proportianing valve went offcenter when I replaced the rear end.

Re: Columbus, Ohio Good-Guys Nats

I'll be flying in Friday morning to meet up w/my buddies from the 'Stoked Out Specialties' shop. I really enjoyed this show last year when I went w/the shop but this year life intervened & I just couldn't make the road trip w/them.

But..... I said WTH, that's what's great about air travel. What took 16~18hrs last year will only take 2.5hrs this year . Although, I won't have the great stories that you get when traveling w/a 'motley crew' .

Re: Columbus, Ohio Good-Guys Nats

I'll be there Thursday thru Sunday with the ambulance. I rented a storage room across from the host hotel. It's cheaper than driving there and back for four days.

You can't miss me, I'm sure I'll be the only one there in a giant turquoise lowered GMC Ambulance.

Thursday night there is a get-together at the host hotel (Crown Plaza off of Busch Blvd.). Usually a lot of people go back there after the Goodguys show at the fairgrounds every night. If you want to see some cool vehicles but don't want to fight traffic or pay parking/admission, go to the Crown Plaza after the fairground show hours. It's still bigger/better than most other car shows.

*CORRECTION* The Marriott is now the Crown Plaza - same hotel, different name. You take Busch Blvd to Doubletree, and Doubletree dead-ends into the hotel parking lot. Always a lot of people/cars there after 5:00PM. There is an early get-together on Thursday night, and a band playing Friday night - possibly saturday night too.

Re: Columbus, Ohio Good-Guys Nats

won't be able to do it guys. My son would be bored outta his mind, and that leads to huge arguments with the ex. (long story) I'd ove to meet up with everyone for breakfast maybe... there's a real cool retro diner on W.broad street, easy to get to, cheap food, great eats... I'm sure Jim knows about Tommy's diner.
Let me know what y'all think, I'll get an addy posted.

Like I said, hit up the host hotel (or any hotel in Columbus, for that matter, they're all full of cars). It's free, you can see a bunch of world-class rods, and you can come and go whenever you want.
