I have a 67 chevy pickup with manual steering. I was wonderig if a pump and steering box off of a 87 chevy will bolt right in? Any problems with this swap? Thanks

Re: powersteering box and pump
Well 87 has a long water pump so I doubt that the power steering pulley will line up with your water pump with the 87 brackets.

Re: powersteering box and pump
It should bolt right up, but you either have to shim the box away from the frame or dimple the frame in some to fit. There is a hump on the side of the power steering box that causes it to sit away from the frame a little. I just used some washers. Got mine about a month ago off an 85 chevy maybe.
Also, you need to notch the bumper brackett |
