If anyone has installed a vac gauge can you tell me how you connected the hose to the back of the vac guage?

I use copper lines and brass fittings. 1/8" internal diameter, I think. The nylon/plastic broke after a year, so I upgraded. I used a ready-made tap in the Offy intake, and left the carburetor untouched.

Sorry, I don't have a digital cam. My install was done in the late '70s when even the "Company" didn't have digital imaging.
Simple install. Find a position on either the carb or the intake [best] for a 3/8" brass fitting; run 1/8 copper line from "pickup" to rear of engine, then down to any hole in firewall, bending to position under dash where you want to put your gauge. Tighten it up to air tight and you're good to go.
Mine' s on a '68 C/10 Stepside -- L6 292, Offy intake, Edelbrock 1404 4-Bbl carb, Clifford headers. Gauge is Mooneyes. Indicates 18" Hg @ 700 rpm, no load. 3~5" Hg @ 2000 rpm 45 mph uphill. A jumpy needle means sticking valves. Great gauge.
