Blazer hits the road WEEEE!
after 8 months the old girl finally got to hit the road today. After sitting for many years I was able to take her to get inspected, plates, insurance and take her on her maiden voyage... heads were snappin...with looks of what is that? In Ohio a blazer is a rare site, as most know they rusted to pieces around here...As soon as the mechanical bugs are worked out I'm going to start on the almost rust free body, but not until I enjoy the rest of the summer driving it...49,800 original miles...Idaho Blazer

Re: Blazer hits the road WEEEE!
Nice truck - I agree with the rarity of Blazers in Ohio - I have looked for a few years to find a 'relatively' rust 'limited' truck - no dice...
Unless the Ohio/Michigan/Indiana owner stored it since new - they are mostly rusted out and have limited metal left... Looks like a solid truck - and mostly still stock so that is a plus... Curious to know the Blazer count in Ohio - I have never seen one in the NW Ohio area, and have looked at the car shows and never found one in this area. Have a good weekend - and get out there and enjoy that thing. I have yet to take the top off of mine and it has been absolutely great weatherwise this past few weeks - just been busy with other projects and haven't had the time to get to enjoy it as much as I had hoped. That will change though - we still have a few months of nice weather to enjoy before it stays in the garage for the winter. Tom Toledo, Ohio |

Re: Blazer hits the road WEEEE!
I agree with you Tom. I have yet to see one at the local car shows.
I live about 35 min (if you drive like me) from the 75 Ohio border. Maybe next year (when my 72 is done) we can go to the local shows, and give them some new variety to look at. Oh yeah Nice truck! Last edited by JUSBLAZ; 07-13-2007 at 10:45 PM. |

Congrats on gettin' it on the road. There are far too many that don't seem to make it back on road.

Very nice Blazer!!!
If any of you guys are ever heading north, let me know. I live a little less than 2 hours north of the MI/OH border and would love to check out some car shows.

Re: Blazer hits the road WEEEE!
Yes, Original paint, I want to repaint it. I hated the color when I got it (looks like a city or highway truck) but, you are starting to see alot of the yellow in the newer Chevys now! I don't know...Got the front end aligned today..that made a big difference. I'm just going to work out the bugs and drive it the rest of the sumer and enjoy it for awhile.

Re: Blazer hits the road WEEEE!
I believe that color is called "Dark Yellow" on the option sheet. You dont see that color very often.
It looks awfull good to repaint!!! But I love original paint. Great looking Blazer, have fun with it!

Re: Blazer hits the road WEEEE!
Well, I think I figured out why it only has 49,000 miles on it.....I'm almost out of money for gas...WOW! I can't afford to drive it near as much as I would like to...I might have to cut down to week ends only!
