Spare Tire Bracket
My son's '72 GMC Stepside has a spare tire bracket mounted to the inside of the bed on the passenger side almost at the rear of the truck.
I think the PO said all that was missing from it was some sort of carriage head bolt to hold the wheel to it. My brother says that this doesn't look original to the truck and that all original spare tire brackets were just behind the cab on the outside of the bed right in front of the fender on the drivers side. Were there many different styles of spare tire brackets? If so...anyone have pics? |

Re: Spare Tire Bracket
I'm interested in this .... how about a picture of yours as this would be a big help to answering your question and also I might get some ideas as to how to mount mine.
esll.

Re: Spare Tire Bracket
I checked my pics and I don't have any of the inside of the bed. I might have some on my camera at home though. I'll look tonight.
