Hey guys, looking at lifting the body of my '69 @ 2". I'd rather do this than cut my firewall for clearance for the 396. Will also help with tire clearance.

Anyway, I don't see a kit listed anywhere for these old 'Burbans....anyone here have a body kit on theirs? What'd ya use? A truck kit? Did it have all the hardware for the Burb???
I plan on getting all new body mounts while I'm at it.

I'm going to FINALLY get to work on mine, get the engine in and lift it 4" with 35's.

Any help with this greatly appreciated!

try the 4x4 section.

Off road design will make you a 1in body lift for your burb with aluminam pucks they may even do a 2in if you ask them . you can get them from summit racing get there verstion and you could get 2 truck kits for the price of one kit from a name brand kit.

A 2" body lift still left me with clearance issues when I put a bbc in my 69 K20. But of course some people don't have to use any body lift to fit a bbc - seems you just never know until you try to slide the bbc into place.

Yukon....yeah, I slid the 396 into place and it hit's the firewall....I may have to dimple it an inch or two in order to pull the VC's, I wanted to avoid messing with the firewall and I do not want to move it all forward....

I'll look into a Blazer kit and if needed, make any additional parts.......or I'll just cut the firewall and replace the body mounts with new ones.....it needs 'em.....

I think the long wheel base truck one would be the best to use.
