Re: 69 Chevy Should I ?????
It's short, that's cool. Fleetsides are cool, too. I'd like to have a stepside bed for my truck, if for no other reason than to have an option on the look. I would ditch the stock taillights and go with a mid-50's light assembly if it was my truck.
But my vote is to leave it as a stepside for now, and build it. Big 'n' littles, a proper rake, and the look is done.

Re: 69 Chevy Should I ?????
DREW67 you are the only one that can make that decision!
Here's the way I look at it, if you asked you must like the fleetside more so, you have to do what make you happy. Don't settle or you may never be happy. If money is the case then do the step since you have it and keep on the look out for a deal on a fleetside or start saving. BUT in the end you are the one that has to be satisfied with the finised product As for opnion I'm a fleetside guy but, since I have become a member here the stepers are growing on me alot. Yellow69's silver step really impressed me at the Board meet also. RJ22... |

Re: 69 Chevy Should I ?????
I have presently a 72 short fleetside and I have a 67 stepper i'm building right now. I was thinking of keeping it stock because you cannot get cut step fender no more. But I have the really nice bed floor I would love to use on it.

Re: 69 Chevy Should I ?????
Got home to late to bid thanks the the little women shopping. I not for sure yet it really all up in the air. I got the rally wheels now from Mike. Got some nice green bucket seats from Rodger if I want them. We will see.
