Check this out!!
I've had my truck for more than a year now and I sadly can't say that I've ever looked at the timing marks on the balancer. I went to check the timing recently and look at what I found!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Anyone ever run into this before? Sure makes it hard to time the engine if you don't know which mark to use!! ![]()

Re: Weird timing marks - Ever see anything like this?
miss matched parts.
The ballancer is designed for a simple pointer, and then youline it up to one of the lines on the ballancer. Just bring the engine to top dead center, and mark the ballancer with a white stripe. Makes it easier to read on the light too. I do this even if it is correct and only has the one line. |
