pics of my 79 2wd blazer
hello Im Jody, im new here. I have a 79 2wd blazer .. i have had it 2 years. I just painted it 2 weeks ago.. it still needs to be sanded and recleared when I have time. I lowered it this past weekend. Flipped the rear and cut the front coils .. I am going to get spindles and new spings when I can afford them... Painted the interior and engine compartment in Dec. rode in primer for a while. also i missspelled my username. How do you fix that?

Looks great! How did you paint the dash, door panels? Looks like you have a lot of time into it.

Re: pics of my 79 2wd blazer
the dash was in good shape, no cracks.. i cleaned it with thinner then sanded with 80 grit sand paper primed it with hok primer, sanded and reprimed with more primer, sanded and sealed and painted it. i have seen post on here where people have glassed theres first, i didn't and dont worry about any adhesion problems, the paint isnt going anywhere..
The door panels where in bad shape. I molded the panels flat with kitty hair then filled the with bondo. Primed sanded, primed and started painting. Last edited by gunpointgraphics; 07-20-2007 at 01:09 AM. Reason: mispelled |

The paint looks killer. It's going to be an awesome ride when things start coming together.
I'll see what I can do to get your screen name fixed...
