Shifter linkage--totally stuck, but not connected to tranny
Hey everyone-
Well I was getting ready to hookup my 700r4 when I went to move around the gear selector and wouldn't you know it the sucker is STUCK! Has anyone else had this? Anyone have a van tilt column they want to give me? What's the best plan of action? A simple problem, but my hope is that someone has an easy answer that I may have overlooked. Cheers!

first thing to do is open the hood and see if theres anything obstructing the shift lever that comes out the bottom of the column next try sprayin the crap out of the column with wd40 or pbblaster to see iff you can loosen it up

Lever under hood is over centered. Pull down on lever and move toward engine-you have to pull it down far enough to clear the notch that is off the stationary bracket.
