Re: bouncing speedo

all you have to do is pull the inside cable completely out, get a large tube of white lithium ( engine assembly ) grease, cut the end off the tube so it will be a small openning, squirt all you can into the outer cable where you pulled the inner cable from, then start refeeding the inner cable back in. when the inner cable pulls in the white grease squirt more into the outer cable and also grease the inner cable as you feed it into the outer cable until inner is completely back into the outer. you,l have to unhook both ends of the cable to get it back in properly. Re: bouncing speedo

yeah use that white lithiam grease and in a few years just throw out the whole cable assy cause the lithium grease is petrified. and in the meantime during the winters when it hardens up just watch the speedo bounce good

Re: bouncing speedo

Cleaned it good and lubed it with speedo cable lube. Better, but my mount in the tranny leaks some fluid (that does not leak from the cable but from the housing correct?) Anyway the gear and cable on that end had alot of tranny fluid in it. How hard is it to change that whole housing to stop that leak (or is it an oring or something.)

Thanks
