It's coil springs and I have the trailing arms as well. I have no idea on the ratio and I'm gonna show my ignorance here, are there stamped code numbers on the rear end that I can pull and you decipher.

Ok I did it, I spun rear tire 2 complete revolutions. The yoke turned approx 7.5 revolutions. So that's approx a 3.73?

mark a spot on the tire and a spot on the yoke and turn the tire 2 revolutions and see how many revolutions the yoke turns it will be just over 3 (3:07) just under 4 (3:73) or just over 4 (4:11)

For future reference there should be a code number stamped on the axle housing. (see pics) Then go here to look it up. You just use the first two or three letters. The TDE on this one tells me it is a 1/2 ton 3.07:1 ratio.

Nice deal if you are close.

On a vehicle that old, I'd go with the revolution method over the codes. You never know when or if that rear end was changed in the past 30 years

They are from the same truck, and still attached to that "bent" frame. It's a 1971 model shortbed frame.
