Angry Puddle of water...

Well,we had some pretty serious rain last night and when I got into my truck this morning I had a nice puddle on the mat. I felt under the dash and there was water there too. I assume it would be coming in from the seal around the windsheild? How tough is it to change?

Re: Puddle of water...

I had the same problem because of a windshield installer that didn't know how to install windshields. My suggestion is to get a new gasket and find a very reputable windshield shop.

Re: Puddle of water...

It's easy enough and have the patience to do it and the right tool.

Re: Puddle of water...

the seal for the window is one place to look but there is another. In both my 86s i had the cowl leak on me if you remove the cowl and the screen under that, there is a seal that runs the length of the cowl. through time that seal goes bad so you have to re cork it. you can use normal Caulking that would be for a house i used what i had at hand rtv worked well to seal the area. IMO
