17'' Ansen Sprint Mags

Just ordered a set of 17 x 7 Ansen sprint mags for my '67 GMC. Anyone recommend tyre sizes and does anyone have any pics of these on their truck.

Re: 17'' Ansen Sprint Mags

With 7" rims tire size won`t be an issue. You can run what ever fits that width.Nothing wrong with getting our input and getting some pics to help your decision, though.I`m no help there.

Re: 17'' Ansen Sprint Mags

I know that this is kind of an old post, but I was looking for pictures of these wheels in 17's on our trucks and found this. You wouldn't happen to have some pics for me would you?

Re: 17'' Ansen Sprint Mags

If pics of a '72 'burb with them is adequate, PM me your e-mail addy and I'll e-mail a couple of pics mine, to you.
I have 255/60/17 front and 285/60/17 rear, but I'm runnin' 8 inch wide on the rear.
I'd post them, but I'm compu-stupid.
If you want to post them, after I send them to you, feel free to do so.

Re: 17'' Ansen Sprint Mags

I hope I helped, I was shooting for the "retro" look, and these fit the idea and budget quite nicely.

Thanks for posting my pics.

FYI, it was only on the rollback to be transported home. It was the only way I could get both the rollback and the 'burb home, at the same time. That was my former job.

I always thought these wheels would look B@d @ss in 20's & 22's. It would be a mix of old school & new school.

wow that is a great looking sub, I generaly do not like those wheels but they look good in that size. I would not change a thing stance and all are right on.

Sorry, I missed your question.
They are made by American Racing, now. Just go to American Racing's website and look in the vintage wheel section, or Google Ansen Sprint. It will give you available sizes, bolt pattern, etc.

Maybe Wynne. I really want these wheels, but I know it would make more sense to pour a slab for a shop. Decisions, decisions!

Re: 17'' Ansen Sprint Mags

The fronts are 17x7, 4"bs(only backspace available), front drop is 3" spindle(bell tech) 1.5" spring.(255/60r17)
The rears are 17x8, 4.5"bs(again, only bs available), 5" spring and 1.5" block.(285/60r17) It does have a bolt in c-notch.

The only issue with the rear is a minor rub when the body leans, even with a small spacer(can't remember how thick). My plan to remedy this, is to convert to a Watt's link, when I 'bag it(when funds allow) , and also a rear swaybar.
I could go the easy way and put a smaller tire on the rear(similar size to the front), but I like the way it looks with those big tires on the back.

BTW thanks for the compliments, it means alot coming from the members of this board!
