Re: Sneak peak for Dino

Grunion:} Your truck is sick, Will your truck lift high enough with the Z on the stock front crossmember to clear the 26? A few years back there was a 64-66 longbed at reso on an F-250 Chassis with a cantilever style setup on the front and he still didnt get enough lift for his 26's. I think he ended up cuttin the fender in two peices and welding them to the hood! Also what control arms are on your truck? It looks so good and it only took 19 months?

Re: Sneak peak for Dino

The truck is a customers and it lifts a way above the fenders. The frame is a Grunion frame. I built the arms from a stock set of arms, And the truck has taken about 12 months to build. It would have taken about 6 months except that the truck was put togeter in sealer to take to sema last yr. Thanks for the props.

That Truck is Absolutely Beautiful!!! Nice work, I dont mean to be noise, but I was wondering what some of these trucks are ending up costing. For example, the Blue truck above, or the "Green Monster". I just want to get a rough estimate of what it may take to get mine in the same shape, or perhaps get one built. Thanks for the help.

Well, the "Green Monster" truck was built for the R&D for the dropmember that was installed in the first truck. It was also the prototype in my 63 panel, so i wasn't worried about the paint and body. We built it to beat on and have fun in, or have people demo it. Anyone can drive this truck that has a drivers license. Kevin's is a showtruck so depending on which direction you're going. Nate helped me out a ton on the fab work and keeping the cost down. I am networking kind of guy, so i have lots of buds in this buisiness. Not to sound like a jerk. I am not sure what i have in this truck. I am building a new '66 big back-window with c4 suspension, and a Nate Porter custom frame with drop member. That'll help me keep better tabs with cost on this new truck. Not sure that I answered your question, but I hope this helps.

Dino, do you have the hookup on the green turn signals? I think they would be sweet on my 62, a Christmas theme.

The 26 are for the sponsors. Its a sema Truck. and they look pretty impresive burried under there. But the 24s look killer also.

Nate the hinge is a electri life setup I am a dealer if you want to try one out. It is motoized. It doesnt work that good with the stuff they send you so I made remade alot of stuff. It was also a sponsored item. It works awsome now. I can show you how to make a front tilt hood if you need me to. I do alot of them. without kits.
Here is a pic of my duallys hood..

Dinos63 WINS! The one with the most toys always wins! I really envy your collection of trucks. Your style and taste in trucks is really cutting edge. You also have some great fabricators to help you pull it off. Keep the pics coming. And,... when I win the lottery I will be calling you.

Re: Sneak peak for Dino

Beautiful truck! You guys do some great work. Have you done that forward tilt hood on a 67-72 truck? Any pics if you have? I would love to do a forward tilt hood and that setup looked real clean. Thanks Josh
