trimtags

Has anyone ordered rivets for your truck from www.trimtags.com. If you have, were they what you expected. What I mean is, are they the same as the original rosebud rivets. I am thinking about ordering some.

Re: trimtags

From what everyone before you have said, they are the correct rosebud rivets, they are pretty spendy but they are period correct.

Re: trimtags

I ordered some of the original vin rivets from them a couple of years ago and they were the correct rosebud type. I am about to order some more.

Re: trimtags

From what I saw on their website, Trimtags reproduces the body trim tags, not the VIN tags. I don't know if the rivets are the same for both uses, or not. From what else I have read, the VIN tag rivets are special....and not cheap, at $45/pair. I have read other suggestions on how to deal with that issue, on the board. I don't recall seeing a body trim tag on my truck, but due to my lack of memory....I reserve the right to be wrong. Heck, sometimes I even use it!!

Re: trimtags

Thanks for the replies. I called them today and they said they have the correct rosebud rivets. The only downside is that they ARE kind of pricey.
