WTB: Under Hood Storage Box

Looking to buy a factory GM under the hood storage box for my '99 Tahoe. Believe they were available from '96 thru '00 on Tahoes, Burbs, and Pickups. Don't have a pic but it sits on driver side, black plastic, hinged lid, and I think the part number is # 15740047. Somewhat a rectangular affair. Anyone have a truck, burb or tahoe they are parting out with such a box?

I have 1 on my 96 parts truck. Was thinking of using it, but a decent offer could change my mind. I have no idea how much these are worth, so don't know what to ask for it.

Am interested, can you post pics? Any damage or cracks, all attaching hardware present and included with box? Any idea what sort of $$$ you need from it?

Let me pull it and get a better look. It appears fine, but will have to make sure. I don't think it will work in anything I run.

I have one but the part # I am showing is not the same as the one you posted. Mine came off of 97 truck and I called my buddy that is the parts manager at my local GM dealership and he said the one I had was on 96-97 trucks, tahoes and suburbans. I will take a pic and you can let me know if it is what you want. My friend said you could buy it new for 35.00. I will take 10.00 plus shipping and it is in excellent shape.

PT's 70 CST, Would like to see a pic of the one you have. Since my Tahoe is a
' 99 model perhaps they changed? I got the number from my son's ' 96 Z71 pickup but have not had a chance to pull it off and see if it will interchange to my Tahoe. Maybe there is a difference, not sure?

edman87, Have you had a chance to get the one you have pulled, would like to see some pics of it also. I'm shooting from the hip here as not sure what would fit my ' 99 Tahoe.

I have not pulled it yet. It does appear to be in good shape other than a crack on the hinge part- had to look to find it.
I looked up that part # and it seems that is the part # for the lid only. I didn't find a pic of it either and can't find any for sale.
I will have to get some pics of mine, it looks like it just snaps out- not bolted in that I could tell.
My camera will not transfer to my computer and the wife's computer is being borrowed by her sister, so it might be a day or so.

I havn't had a chance to pull mine yet. Isn't there a base that mounts between the box and fenderwell? It looked like it on mine, but havn't removed it yet.

I do not know it very well may have a base but my budy pulled this one off of his truck and was going to toss it in the trash and I got it from him awhile back and he has since sold the truck so I do not know.

Have not been able to get on the computer for last couple days due to work but for myself I can't comment about the need for a base. My son's '96 Z71 storage box sets on the w/s washer tank using a fiber rub strip or pad to prevent rubbing. Bolted right in my '99 Tahoe. I did have some sort of a black rectangular plastic base or plate I had to remove before I could mount his storage box. It looked to me like it was for a auxillary driver's side battery mounting? I know that GM had aux. battery boxes in years past.
