Sunday's Sharonville Show, North of Cincinnati Ohio. Windy day rained for 10 minutes which chased off a Green 72 truck...Wimp!, so I didn't get a pic of it. Cool show with all catagories including cars from 1910, Corvettes, Camaro-Firebirds, Street Rods. I was in the utility & trucks from 55-77 and got a 3rd place trophy.
Heres a Mayberry Fire Department GMC... told this owner about this board, maybe he'll find it... 55 Suburban ambulance real nice... 39 Flatbed... ------------------ 72 Chevy Blazer 69 GMC Longhorn 37 Chevy Coupe pics at http://home.fuse.net/pierce Cincinnati, OH

I was in Sharonville a week ago doing some work for Ford. I saw the signs for the show, was kinda hoping I would have to come back last weekend so I could go. Looks like it was a good one. Congrats on the trophy!

I was there too, some pretty nice trucks. I was happy to see a few 67-72's since I didn't see any last year. Hopefully my truck will be presentable for next year's show! That is a nice blazer by the way...

I was at the show Sunday also. I was checking out your Blazer and the orange 68. I actually had one of my K20s in that show a few years ago. I was just a spectator this year. Good looking trucks.
Let me know if you would be interested in a spare front/rear end for your Blazer. I have a 72 Jimmy that is going to be parted out soon. I guess everyone noticed the vehicle hauling the Mayberry Suburban? Front wheel drive! Now that took some creative thinking..... |

LOL at the other guy claiming the truck as his! Too bad you guys didn't get a chance to all get together. Good lookin' trucks ya got there. And Dean, I'm sure glad you explained the Mayberry rig. I was looking at that pic thinking that was a trailer mated to a truck cab, and it didn't look like there was any way a drive shaft could be under there. I'd like to see some more of that whole setup myself, makes for a pretty cool hauler.

Barn9 That was a slick setup on the hauler. He might be at the Glen Este show this Sunday May 5. I'll get more pics of it. I can't make it to the Pigeon Forge show so I'm going to this one instead.

Hope he shows up, 'cause I sure would be interested in details of how he built it. If you get to talk to him, ask him how it goes down the road, etc. That just looks like a hell of good idea to me, not only for hauling vehicles, but all sorts of things. Thanks man, I'll be watching for any info.

I was in Cincy last week also.
I was unable to attend show I had to leave Friday. One thing is for sure the old car seen in Ohio is dead compared to Dallas Texas. I Was bummed out the whole time I was there virtually no early Iron. Did check out the old car wrecking yard in Sharonvile. Where do you guys find project cars and trucks. Man I just hit 3 cities in Texas and I could fill up a wrecking yard with cool iron.

Where do we find projects? I just bought my 68 from Bill in KY, and he got it from somebody in TX. I also looked into various trucks in TX before finding this one. So as far as I go, I get my projects vicariously through TX.

Thanks Bux, had most of that figured out except the drivetrain, but I guess there would be several options available in this situation, as long as you could come up with the needed HP to pull the load.
bbs1965, can't speak for TX, but having traveled there, and OK, NM, CO, and UT in the past 20 years, plus a few trips through the states north of this area, there are a lot of projects around, but they ain't next to the interstate. All a guy has to do is look around the countryside a little, which I realize is not easy for a lot of people to do, but they are out there. ------------------[*]'71 Cheyenne, 402BB[*]Winfield, KS[*] http://barn9.freeservers.com
