New Member with a 82 2wd Blazer
Well, I have had the itch for a older Chevy truck for a while. I found this 1982 2wd Blazer through a friend the other day, and brought her home last night. Picked it up for $1400
She is a one owner, been sitting in the storage since 1996. We put a battery and fuel in her and drove it 22 miles home. It's going to need several new gaskets and general tune up. As for upgrades, I am planning on putting a cowl hood, 15x10 outlaw 2s w/295/50/15s, and new paint for the outside. For the interior, a newer Suburban will be giving up its parts as soon as I can find one. |

Re: New Member with a 82 2wd Blazer
lol, love the truck, I am not sure about the big wheels on these older trucks. I already picked up a 91 front end and ordered my tires/wheels. A cowl hood is in the future plans also. I want to fix this thing to be a daily driver, but I have a bbc dually sitting in the back yard. That drive train is begging for a swap

Re: New Member with a 82 2wd Blazer
Thought I would update,
I am still waiting on my wheels, how a wheel that has been out for 25 years can be on back order is beyond me. The front is off and the 91 Suburban front end ready to go back on in its place. I will get pictures as soon as I get the front on and pull it back out of the shop. |

update
Well, my wheels finally came in. Put them on yesterday, still haven't wired the front lights. It's been a combination of work and lazy. lol I still need a front bumper. and a few nick knacks. I am thinking a 2/2 drop will set off the look I am after.
Does anyone else have a problem with passing up deals |

Re: New Member with a 82 2wd Blazer
Oh man! I should be so fortunate to find a nice one like that and for cheap. Real nice starter. I like the grille upgrade and wheel choice. Needs a little drop in front and it's there. That red n white pattern is very eye catching.
