New Chevy Truck Owner 70 C10 Stepside

Well I have been a Ford guy for years but when the time came to do a truck project I could not resist the chevy trucks. I bought a 70 c10 Stepside last night. It says 350 custom! It has a 4speed and 350 engine. I have to do some research on what I have. I know I am going to lower it, paint and redo the drivetrain. Truck will be my daily driver. I am even go fuel injection down the road. Any tips or info you guys have would be greatly appreciated.

Re: New Chevy Truck Owner 70 C10 Stepside

Hopefully, I will be able to post some pics by Friday evening. I am really excited because it still has the California Black plates on it. Truck has no modifications so I have a clean rust free canvas to work with. I have seen many of the trucks on this site so I know their is plenty of knowledge here!

my plans are to do the drivetrain first... Lower it with a 4/6 drop. Paint and more new wheels will be last!

Re: New Chevy Truck Owner 70 C10 Stepside

I bought a complete 86 c20 Van to rob the drivetrain while I build my final setup. I am struggling with changing the bed on the truck right now...

Keep it a stepside. It seems like there are less of them restored these days.
Here's one we built for my brother last year. It has a 4/6 Early Classic drop.

Here's a couple more. It's actually my brother's truck, but he gave me carte blanche to build it for him.

BTW, there's no snow here yet, those pics were taken last spring
