exhaust port shape?

hey guys,

i'm just wondering if theres a way (without pulling the exhaust manifolds right now) to determine what shape my exhaust ports are.

reason being, is the parts guy gave me gaskets for round ports. and i honestly don't know what i have on my '69 307. so. i'm just wondering if any of you might have an idea off the top of your heads??

thanks!

-Sam.

Re: exhaust port shape?

Bob,

Thank you!!

now i don't have to wait before i take them back!

i didn't think they were round, but for 40 bucks for the gaskets, he was more than willing to sell them to me.

thanks so much. . i can't say enough, lol.

Re: exhaust port shape?

i'll definitely request fel-pro's then.

and don't worry. i've heard too many horror stories about people not tightening their exhaust bolts up. i'll be sure to make it a weekly thing after the intial tightening.

thanks again! they're going back next week. hahaha.

Re: exhaust port shape?

Darn, and I was gonna say pull the valve covers and check the head numbers.
