We had this happen at work once. Im in the copier business and when we rebuild machines we roll em outside and blow em out real good with the air hose. One time I was doing this and had to go in and take a call. When I came back out it was gone ???? Turns out the metal scrappers came by and thought we had put it out for them. Poof!!! gone... Re: Someone stole my roof.
what's this world coming to?? when a simple person can't leave the roof of a truck unatended for 5 simple minutes. what's bad is on the ship(seeing as how i'm in the navy) you really can't leave anything out. i've actually had my dirty underwear stolen right off of my rack(military for bed)!!! this is what my reaction was to that

Re: Someone stole my roof.
Visions of a couple neighborhood kids sliding down a grassy hill sitting on top of that roof turned upside down. If this is the case, at least they picked a "classy" roof to do it on!!

Re: Someone stole my roof.
There is a guy in HUmble Texas that was trying to sell a roof for the last few months for $150.00 Said it was real nice with no rust. I will see if I can find his number.

Re: Someone stole my roof.
I hate frickin crack heads...We have a few in our town...I'm sure all the San Jo guys on here have seen them too.
I recycle scrap iron as well...but not for crack...I use the extra couple hundered bucks for bills, fuel for the boat in the summer time, parts for the Chief ( )....etc....I've seen obvious tweekers at the recycle yard. They are crack'n down on people rip'n off COPPER....when you bring in a HEAVY load...they take down ALL your info...Couple of weeks ago, I seen the SC Sheriffs busting a dude in a mini-truck sitting on the frame rails with a BIG ass load of stolen copper. I have a trailer parked at my shop/pops business yard. We fill that thing with old garage door hardware, springs, and openers....the I haul the 8,000 load to SIMS and pick-up like $300-$350 bucks....not much for the weight, but it's free money !!! Hopefully it doesnt happen to you again.... Later

I see you have met those fine people waiting in line at Sims, constanly looking over their shoulders and chain smoking.... I hauled in a load of copper scrap(pipe end cuts) from work last summer, and some tweeker tried to take it when I crawled into my enclosed service body truck to get another can. Tweekers suck! |
