flatbed to regular bed? frame chopped 6 inches
I got a 67 C-10 and the previous owner chopped the frame 6 inches off the rear... How hard would it be to put a regular bed back on it? (the truck is an original long bed)

It should be no problem at all you can use box steel like the guys that z there frames to lower them to add the 6in back.

Re: flatbed to regular bed? frame chopped 6 inches
Now my only question is...is where do I find the mounts for the bed that go on the frame just behind the cab to mount a bed on it?

sounds like a trip to the junkyard is in order -- wait -- you are in the aloha state - that may or may not be hard
I have vocally opposed short bed conversions on some member's trucks, but yours - i wouldnt bat an eye --- why not go all the way and put a short fleet bed on it ? Unless its a 3/4 or 1 ton |

i'm sure someone is junking a truck and could cut off some of the frame for you along with the bed mounts.

if you put a WTB add in the classifieds I bet you will have a set in no time.

I was born on in tripler while my dad and mom were stationed out there. The last time I was there was in 97 they removed a brain tumor from my wife there i was stationed in Okinawa at the time and they flew her out there to have it done.
