Re: What did the factory 67 orange look like?
I didn't think there was a factory orange in '67. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure '69 was the first year for orange. I have a '69 CST/10 that has original paint that appears inside and out to orange, but the color code is medium red.

Re: What did the factory 67 orange look like?
Medium Red was their red red.I`m not sure about that Orange listed in Auto Color Library.I`ve seen some red/orange looking originals, which is close to Hugger Orange. There were Fleet Colors which sometimes mixed in with the Standard Line.Omaha Orange has always been available. It`s a more "pumpkin" color...lighter.You see it on Asplundt,Yellow Freight, and Allied Moving trucks all the time. They started using it on some S10s and C1500s lately, too.

Re: What did the factory 67 orange look like?
I have a '68 stepside with the original 516 Orange still on it. [In most places].
The color was very similar to Chevy's earlier "Omaha Orange." The "Hugger Orange" (c.'69) had a little more red in it. I have heard that GM called the 516 shade "Tangerine" and also "Sunbolt" for '72.

Is it a rare color for that year?

Re: What did the factory 67 orange look like?
Not too rare. It was in Chevy's regular range of available colors. Most "normal" people might not have gone for it. For me, it was the selling point.
That orange was very popular on service trucks: CalTrans, Southern Pacific Railroad, Milwaukee Road, etc. I'm not sure who was the original orderer of my truck. A few things like radio delete, 7.00 x 17.5 rims, 4 speed 465, L6 292, cross-bed toolbox, 2-way antenna hole in the cab roof, all lead me to believe my stepside was some supervisor's road truck once.
