Pictures of my Plane Jane 71

Thought I would post some pictures of my (ride)71 shortbox. I have owned this pickup for 30 years. I'm the second owner and only live 5 miles from the dealership it was sold new at. I have all the paperwork such as build sheet, reicept with the price tag of 3500 new. Even the dealer key chain.Pickup has never moved away from home, yet. So far the only thing its needed is new carpet, seatcover and outside paint. This is a great web site!!! Dennis

Re: Pictures of my Plane Jane 71

Congratulations Ilike72's on a absolutely beautiful pickup ! For you all not familiar with Oregon , there are other parts of the state then just Portland! Over in Eastern Oregon it's like another world. High desert, big extreme swings in temperature and super nice folks, always willing to give you a hand. Also a huge number of 67-72 GM trucks. I feel blessed to live here also. You can leave keys in the ignition or the door at home unlocked with little worry. Funny thing too is people actually wave at you when you're driving! Exspecily when you are in a classic Chevy or GMC. I thought I was lucky when I finally got my 71 from its first owner, but you win the award in my opinion. If you get to LaGrande soon please contact me in advance please.....

That is a poster truck if I ever saw one. It's like looking at a Chevy brochure back in the day. Your truck is a classic, could look at it all day long. I like Hot Rods and very stock vehicles.

esll.

This truck proves a clean stock vehicle can turn heads. The contrast between green and white is outstanding. I like the options chosen by the original owner, especially the 16" wheels and 4 speed. He must have been a frugal, no nonsense type of guy.

He was old, very old. So old he only drove it 30,000 miles before he passed away.I bought it from the estate and drove it 5 miles home. It just turned over 50,000 miles this week.

Re: Pictures of my Plane Jane 71

Thanks for the nice words. I wanted to keep this ons stock because of the local history. I also hace a 4x4 that I stuffed in a 427 go fast setup. Got up to the point of interior and couldn't make up my mind so I parked in in the shop---25 years ago!!!

that is a PEFECT example of everything right about our trucks. even if it is a shortbed. .

love the six. love the hub caps on those 16's (split rims, right?), love the color. i just plain love that.
