New shop. OH YEAH!!!!

My wife and I just bought a new house. All we're waiting on is the paperwork. We'll close on it at the end of the month. Along with the house came a new shop for me It's 30' x 50' and has a full concrete floor. Can't wait to get the trucks moved over there. I'll have 3 times the room or more than I have now. I've also got 6 acres of land so I MIGHT be talked into hosting a mini meet or some small get together if you talk nice to me. Well here's a couple pics of the new place.

Re: New shop. OH YEAH!!!!

Hopefully I'll need all that garage space for my toys. That is if my wife lets me get more toys.

You are more than welcome to come by and visit any time though. I might even be nice enough and let you work on my truck some Seriously though, I'll have a spare bedroom so anyone that is traveling through the area let me know. I may be able to hook you up.

i like the fact that you show two picks of the shop, one of the yard, yet only one shot of half of the house.

my next house will be much like what you have there. congrats!

Re: New shop. OH YEAH!!!!

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Now...if anyone is free next month, there are new floors to be laid, painting to be done, and some cleaning. Then comes moving everything from the old house to the new. Just moving the 68 is gonna be pain enough but It'll be worth it in the end.

I wish you were a little closer. I only get down that way once or twice a year, I go through Mt. Vernon on my way to my Grandparents place in Tennessee.

Re: New shop. OH YEAH!!!!

Shops are never big enough. House can be too big, but never a shop. Of course, it won't hold all of your stuff (I predict) within 2 years.

But, congrats are in order.

My problem is that my garage is tied onto my wife's house. If there's anyone who doesn't consider that to be a problem.....one of you is deaf and the other one is blind.

I have a buddy who bought a house (new to him) in '78. He had a 30x60 shop built that had a paint booth, hot/cold running water, heat and A/C and the most important thing.....a toilet. It isn't closed off, or anything.....but when you gotta go, you gotta go. Anyway, he had all of the walls except for the paint booth, finished off with pegboard. Sheetrock ceilings...taped, floated and finished. Insulated. Nice. FULL! Did I say it was FULL??? I mean it is crammed full. To help aleviate the bloated shop....he added on a 20x30 lean-to type of structure. It isn't insulated, but it is nice, too. And, it's FULL!!. He's gonna die, and I'm the executor of their estate. It's gonna be fun when it all comes to pass. Having just finished with my Dad's probate, I know this is going to be like a 10-ton hocker wad in a 1-pint throat.

But, hopefully you won't fill up the shop and you'll always be able to find whatever you're looking for.....whenever you want to use it.

Nice perks, dude.

Re: New shop. OH YEAH!!!!

Yeah I hope I dont fill it up too quick. I've already got the two project trucks (1968 and 1978) and in bad weather the two drivers will be in there. Plus lawn mower, tools, and whatever crap my honey decides she just HAS to put in there.

Re: New shop. OH YEAH!!!!

between mowing the yard and tooling in the shop your wife will forget you exist.

I can see it now, you will have a yard full of tents and truck fans next summer. I have already picked out my spot. its by that fourth tree from the left, near the driveway.
